Your Baby Signals When It’s Time for Labor! 👶✨
Labor doesn’t just happen—your baby plays a HUGE role in starting the process! 💡 When your little one’s lungs are fully developed, they release a special hormone called surfactant protein-A (SP-A) into the amniotic fluid.
🫁 SP-A tells your body: “Hey, I’m ready to breathe on my own!” This hormone triggers an immune response in the uterus, which helps kickstart contractions and labor.
⏳ Your Body Listens: Once this signal is received, your body begins producing more oxytocin—the hormone responsible for contractions and birth!
🌿 Perfect Timing: Your baby’s lungs maturing is a key sign that they’re ready for life outside the womb, proving once again how beautifully designed the birth process is.
Isn’t it amazing that your baby helps decide their own birthday?
