Growing Right On Track

One of the things we watch closely in those early weeks is baby’s weight.

It’s completely normal for newborns to lose a little weight after birth—but by around 2 weeks postpartum, we expect baby to be back up to their birth weight.

From there, we love to see steady growth as the weeks go on. By the time of the 6-week visit, many babies have gained beautifully, showing us they are feeding well and thriving.

These little check-ins aren’t just numbers—they’re a window into how baby is adjusting, growing, and being nourished.

And every ounce gained is a quiet reminder that your body, your milk, and your care are doing exactly what they’re meant to do.
